Googlephone Coming Soon to UK!
The latest company to enter the smartphone market is Google with their long anticipated Googlephone.Rumour of this tech-heavy handset are fast circulating around the internet and it could be launched as early as next year in the US.
Some of Googlephone’s features:
- Unlimited free calls via Google voice
- Processor for 3D gaming almost twice as fast as that of the iPhone 3GS
- Ability to effortlessly transfer sim card over to Googlephone
- Large touchscreen display
The picture on the right is merely an artist’s impression but expect something sleek and simple in black or white.
It is an exciting concept for the UK mobile phone market as it will be the first company who offers an “end-to-end” service as Google will produce the phones, the software and manage the network and calls. With the unlimited free calls, it could really shake up the state of the UK mobile market and force other big networks to follow suit.
Initial forecasts are for the handset itself to cost roughly £400-£500 but with free UK calls and international calls for mere pennies a minute, the Googlephone is still great value. The only difference is you are not tied into an 18/24 month contract in order to pay back the cost of your handset.

Mobile Phone Retailers Suspend Sale of Sony Ericsson Aino
We are yet to review the Sony Ericsson mobile ourselves here at mobiles-uk.net but it seems that there are several teething problems with this technology packed handset.
With some great innovative features such as a 12MP camera and the capability to double up as a Playstation 3 controller, it was never going to be perfect first time around.
