4G Mobile Network to Launch in Scandinavia

TeliaSonera finishes work on 4G mobile network in Stockholm and Oslo

Scandinavian mobile phone users could be the first to experience a 4th generation mobile network (4G)

New users should be able to access the 4G network from early 2010. 4G should bring:

  • Much faster internet speeds
  • High speed mobile gaming
  • High definition video streaming
  • Better video blogging on mobile phones

It will initially be accessed via a laptop and dongle with plans to launch to mobile phones by late 2010.

Sony Ericsson Releases Firmware Update for Aino and Satio Phones

In response to recent complaints about their Aino and Satio mobile phones, Sony Ericsson has release a firmware update to fix the reported bugs. Sony Ericsson Aino and Satio

We recently reported that Phones 4 U and Carphone Warehouse had suspended their sales of the Aino handset after numerous reports of screen problems and software crashing.

The new update will reportedly deal with the lag issues on the touchscreen and improve the software performance and prevent crashing.

Carphone Warehouse are also selling the Aino again through their website but not the Satio.
